In Memoriam

We invite all who wish to honour and remember their animal to place a “sentiment” here.  It can be a story, a poem or even just a picture.  This may also help others through their journeys.  We hope you find this helpful.

Thank you Brien, I appreciate you listening, hearing, and responding. The loss and love stories on this site are touching…and I am glad to have found it. This support is important in a world horribly caught up in disposable instant gratification.
    Thank you!

Good Afternoon Kim: My condolences on your loss. Those of us who have lost our companions and endured the need for euthanasia will readily admit to understanding the deep seated pain that lingers on… the tears that so readily appear… the memories which are triggered by a sound, an image, or a smell. I found that I just had to share the life and times of our Riley in order to talk it out and hopefully see some relief. I wrote, and wrote, and wrote and finally comitted some of it to a personal web site for him (www.rileyboy.ca). I encourage you to put pen to paper… record the memories and dwell on them. I found that reliving the events was good therapy…the pain has not gone away but I can at least get through the day without having him on my mind 24/7. His urn is still within eyesight; a reminder that he is still around. God Bless.

I lost my cat Ursa today. She had advanced stage kidney failure, and there was nothing left for us to do. I held her while she went to sleep. Ursa, I love you so much, and will miss you with all my heart. I can’t believe you are gone, but I am going to try to remember all the good times :) Rest in peace my Ursa Bear. I love you.

Dear Nissa, What a wonderful attitude to carry you further. You will never forget your cat Ursa, but you are already starting to remember “all the good things”. Grieving is not an easy process but you have started the process in a truly gracious and understanding manner. Brien
